VIRGINIA BEACH, VA — Acoustical Sheetmetal Company (ASC) is excited to announce that it earned 1st Place (Gold) in the Fabricated Metal Products category and 3rd Place (Bronze) overall in the Best in Show competition at the 2025 Virginia Manufacturing Cup, the statewide contest recognizing “The Coolest Thing Made in Virginia”.

Hosted by the Virginia Manufacturers Association (VMA), the annual Manufacturing Cup celebrates the innovation, craftsmanship, and community impact of Virginia’s manufacturing industry. This year’s competition drew nearly 50,000 public votes, showcasing products from 89 companies across 11 categories. Winners were announced at the VMA’s annual Manufacturing Awards Gala on November 7 in Richmond. 

ASC’s winning entry—a custom-engineered, sound-attenuated generator enclosure—highlights ASC’s expertise in creating durable, weather-protective power packaging solutions that meet the needs of large-scale data centers and industrial facilities nationwide.

Earlier this year, ASC announced a $45.8 million expansion to construct a new 250,000-square-foot facility in Virginia Beach, a project expected to create 350 new jobs and bring the company’s total production space to more than 550,000 square feet. This expansion underscores ASC’s continued growth and long-term commitment to Virginia manufacturing excellence.
