Acoustical Sheetmetal continues expansion with an additional 135,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – Acoustical Sheetmetal Company (ASC) will officially break ground in October on a new 135,000 square-foot facility as an addition to its Hudome Way campus. This new facility will further expand the company’s manufacturing capacity and add additional full-time manufacturing jobs to the Virginia Beach community.
“This expansion not only allows us to better meet our customers’ growing project needs, but also provides our current employees with growth opportunities while being able to add new team members to our workforce,” said Margaret Shaia, CEO of ASC.
ASC, a manufacturer of sound-attenuating and weather-protective enclosures for on-site power generation equipment, opened its current campus at Hudome Way in May of 2021. The new facility will complement the existing 20-acre site by providing increased production capacity and the ability to manufacture larger enclosures.
The company is partnering with W.M. Jordan as the general contractor for the project. The building is expected to be complete in August 2023 and will be fully operational by the fourth quarter of 2023.
“It’s an exciting time for us and I know our customers are grateful that we will be able to tackle additional and even larger projects to continue to meet their growing demands,” said Shaia.
The new facility will add to ASC’s growing Virginia Beach headquarters and bolsters the company’s position as the leading manufacturer in the power generation packaging industry. The addition will increase their total manufacturing area to over 300,000 square feet, bringing new jobs and capabilities to the community.
